–Digitization is accelerated at age of IoT. In semiconductor manufacturing, since it was not possible to visually confirm the state of progress of the wafer processing, and it was required in a human-less operated clean room, we digitized the objects within the production line. And connected the computers for an automated production line has been realized from an early period. The SEMI standard that the semiconductor industry has developed as an Ecosystem among device and equipment manufacturers has supported this realization. In this lecture, we will compare these SEMI standards with the models in recent IoT system, and arrange their positioning, explain and introduce the benefits of its use as a key technology in realizing Smart Manufacturing for other industries.
